Club Awards



Eligibility 


    • To be eligible for a trophy, an athlete must compete in at least 50% of events prior to Christmas and 50% of events after Christmas.

Achievement Points Awards


    • The athlete with the most achievement points at the end of the season will be awarded the Best Athlete award for his or her age and gender group. 
    • These awards will be determined in accordance with Appendix A.

Personal Best Medals


    • During the course of the season, individual athletes are awarded a medal in line with their tally of personal best results in accordance with the following table

Personal Best Awards


    • The athlete with the most personal best points at the end of the season will be awarded the Most Personal Bests award for his or her age and gender group.
    • If the athlete with the most achievement points is also the athlete with the most personal best points, the Most Personal Bests trophy will be awarded to the athlete with the second highest personal best points tally.
    • These awards will be determined in accordance with Appendix B.


Club Champion Trophy


    • There will be both a Boys and a Girls Club Champion Trophy.
    • Final determination of the Club Champion will be made by the committee.
    • In deciding the Club Champion awards the committee will take into account such factors as:

                    i.      achievement points tally

                    ii.      club and centre records achieved

                    iii.      sportsmanship


    • the committee decision will be final


Club Most Personal Bests Award


    • There will be both a Boys and a Girls Club Most Personal Bests Award.
    • The male and female athlete with the highest tally of personal best points in the whole club will be awarded their respective Club Most Personal Bests Trophy.
    • If the athlete in either the boys or the girls division with the most personal best points is also the winner of the Club Champion Award, the Club Most Personal Bests Trophy will be awarded to the athlete with the next highest personal best tally. 


Encouragement Awards


    • An encouragement award will be awarded to each athlete who meets the eligibility criteria and does not qualify for any of the above awards
    • The decision to award encouragement awards in any year rests with the committee
